This design is based on the painting "Almond Blossom." As a gift, Vincent painted one of his favorite motifs: large, flowering branches against a blue sky. He painted it to celebrate the birth of his godson, who was also named after him, Vincent Willem. As a symbol of young life, Vincent chose the branches of the almond tree, one of the earliest flowering trees, heralding spring as early as February. Van Gogh was inspired by Japanese printmaking for the motif, its sharp outlines, and the tree's placement in the picture plane. This decorative cushion features a calmer color composition with the familiar almond blossom branches as a focal point on a sand-colored background. The decorative cushion is made of 100% slub cotton. The front features a digital print of floral sprays. The back is a solid sand color with a linen texture. The decorative cushion has an Oxford edge all around. The size is 30x90. The pillow has a zipper at the bottom and comes with a durable 100% polyester inner cushion. The pillow is not machine washable and is not suitable for tumble drying.
