Beddinghouse x Van Gogh Museum Blossoming Blankets - Sand

This design is based on the painting "Almond Blossom." As a gift, Vincent painted one of his favorite motifs: large, blossoming branches against a blue sky. He painted it to celebrate the birth of his godson, who was also named after him, Vincent Willem. As a symbol of young life, Vincent chose the branches of the almond tree, one of the earliest blossoming trees, heralding spring as early as February. Van Gogh was inspired by Japanese printmaking for the motif, its sharp outlines, and the tree's placement in the picture plane. This decorative cushion features a more subdued color composition with the familiar almond blossom branches as a focal point on a sand-colored background. The front of the bedspread is made of 100% polyester velvet and features a digital print. The print continues along the edges on the back. The back is a solid sand color. Both the front and back feature a quilted pattern. Available in sizes 180x260 and 260x260 cm. The bedspread is not suitable for washing machines and dryers.
