Products for a sustainable future

Bedding House strives for sustainability throughout the entire production chain, with the aim of involving the entire process – from plant to product.

During the design phase, we think about what happens after a long period of use. The duvet covers from our Beddinghouse Silence collection are designed to be recycled. The yarns are not dyed, so new yarns can easily be made from these fabrics.

Quality

At Bedding House we mainly work with cotton, a material with diverse properties, such as satin, velvet, flannel, percale, jersey, brushed twill, (fine) seersucker, as well as recycled and organic cotton. Cotton is a natural product whose most important property is its breathability - ideal for sleep products. Our different cotton qualities differ in warmth, weight, softness and smoothness. Every season we look for new types of bed textiles to expand our range, such as bamboo and lyocell. This way we stay one step ahead of the competition by offering the best new qualities at competitive prices. We regularly receive positive quality reviews from consumers who have just purchased a bedding set from Bedding House. This is of course our main incentive to continuously improve our quality and stay innovative: more satisfied sleepers.

Future

We continue to look for sustainable and innovative solutions as this is an ongoing process. For more detailed information on our sustainability goals and strategies, please see our company profile.

What we do

Silence collection

Beddinghouse has introduced a modern white collection called "Silence". This collection has been designed with recycling in mind. These duvet covers have been designed with what happens after a long period of use in mind. The "Designed for Recycling" principle minimizes the need for new raw materials. The fabrics can easily be reused to make new yarns that can be used again to create beautiful products.

Beddinghouse Care

Our sustainable line offers more environmentally friendly alternatives such as bamboo, lyocell and recycled cotton. These materials not only ensure perfect sleeping comfort, but are also sustainable. The Beddinghouse Care line is complemented by Organic Basics, made from organic cotton that carries the GOTS certificate.

Lyocell

Beddinghouse's Khai and Silas duvet covers are made of 70% lyocell. The lyocell content has been significantly increased. Lyocell is made from the cellulose fibers of beech trees that grow on soils that are unsuitable for agriculture. Because beech trees can thrive without the use of wastewater and fewer harmful solvents, the cultivation process is more environmentally friendly than, for example, cotton cultivation. Beech trees require less water, pesticides and artificial fertilizers to grow, making them a more sustainable alternative. If environmental friendliness is important to you, lyocell bedding is the perfect choice that matches these values.

GOTS certification

The Bedding House Dutch Design quality mark also shows the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) quality mark, the global standard for textiles made from organic fibers. The production process is assessed for environmental friendliness and social responsibility, with the aim of reducing water and energy consumption, preventing child labor and ensuring safe and hygienic working conditions.

Better Cotton partnership

Bedding House has been a partner of Better Cotton since 2016. This organization is committed to more sustainability in cotton production. When you buy our products, you support this initiative for more responsible cotton production.

Oeko-Tex certification

All our products are Oeko-Tex certified, which means that no harmful chemicals or pesticides were used in their production. This is better for the environment, your health and for you.
